I was so looking forward to Jurassic Kingdom when I bought the tickets. From the advertising, it looked excellent. Dinosaurs that move and make noise and that could seem real to my little humans –[…]
Sledging at Snow Factor was an excellent activity. Sliding down slopes and fluffy real snow… What’s not to like!?
We had some beautiful weather last month and tried to make the most of it. One of the little day trips we went on was to check out Gourock Outdoor Pool. Great for a lovely sunny day!
I’ve been going along to aquanatal at Scotstoun Leisure Centre for a few months now. I really enjoy it: I get to meet people; I don’t need to do toddler bedtime; and of course it’s a little bit of exercise.
We had a great time at Culzean Castle & Country Park. They have one of the best playparks we’ve ever been to. There’s so much to do at Culzean and it’s really beautiful too; pretty gardens, swans, forest and a big rocky shoreline. Excellent day out.
Amazonia is small, but the little lady and her friend had a great time. Once they were done with the animals, the bridges entertained them for ages.
I enjoyed wandering around St Mungo Museum and Glasgow Cathedral. There are lots of really beautiful artefacts and architecture. The little lady didn’t quite appreciate either of them though. She enjoyed exploring, but we’ll probably go to a more child-friendly museum in future.
New Lanark is a great day out whether you want to spend it indoors or outdoors. The Annie McLeod Experience is something fun and unusual for a rainy day, and the Falls of Clyde Reserve is a lovely place for a walk.
Cafe Ceramico is a great place to spend a morning or an afternoon with kids. It kept a pair of toddlers occupied for a good 3 hours. Well worth the trip out to East Kilbride.
We went east today, to see and have a wander around Cuningar Loop, a new Forestry Commission park over in Rutherglen. It’s now officially open (since spring 2016). The Lowdown The project is a Commonwealth Wood, part of the[…]
A lovely guest review of the Burrell Collection by a lovely mummy friend and her toddler who went along for a visit recently. Thanks A! It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, so we decided to[…]
There were lots of comments, emails and questions on my post from a few weeks ago about learning Gaelic. So I contacted one of the lovely tutors I’ve had who gave me a list of[…]
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition is on just now in Scotland Street School Museum. I always go to see it, but this year thought we’d combine it with a trip for the toddler[…]
We met some baby buddies at Eastwood Pool recently. I’d heard rave reviews about it from some other mummy friends, so we had to check it out! The Pool There are two parts to the[…]
We braved the Scottish summer and went to Palacerigg Country Park. Nice little childrens farm and good swing park. Nice walk for dogs. Great little day out.
I’ve been dying to go berry picking for ages. So when a friend suggested we go check out East Yonderton Farm in Renfrew I was ready. We went this morning and had a great time.[…]
We hadn’t been swimming in ages and we’d heard that the Gorbals pool is good for kids, so we gave it a go. The Pool There are two swimming pools. The main pool is for[…]
We checked out Free Wheel North recently. Most people I speak to haven’t heard of it, but it’s a fantastic charity run cycling centre down at Glasgow Green next to the big sandy playpark &[…]
A lovely mummy friend organised a Mummy Massage Meetup last week. It was my first Mummy Massage Meetup experience, and man, was it nice! Firstly, you might ask what on earth a Mummy Massage Meetup[…]
We took a little trip to the Riverside Museum at the weekend. It was an attempt to simultaneously get out of the house, and not be outside in the freezing cold. (We’re not big enough[…]
