Inflatables, Obscura and Birthday Brunches: Our Weekly Photos Week 2

Well, that’s us back to school and back in the morning routine again (sort of). The mornings seem so dark when you’re up at 7.30! The little lady started back on Monday so this full week it’s just been baby boy and I getting used to it only being the two of us again.

I wanted to try out the new inflatable play area in Kinning Park: Inflatanation. So baby boy and I went to check it out on Monday with our friends. I felt like such a traitor not taking her but I need to remind myself that she had 3 whole years of just me and her before baby boy came along, so it’s ok for us to do things without her sometimes! Anyway, inflatanation was so much fun. All the info coming very soon.

Our Turtle Tots swimming lessons started back and we did plenty of dog walks last week. Baby boy still naps very well in the afternoons so I’ve been taking full advantage of that. I know it’s not going to last much longer.

Our new beautiful fluffy family member, Binx, is settling in really well. We’re working on his relationship with the kids as he hates all the noise they make. So we’re letting the kids give him his wet food and treats when they’re in. It’s really working; he’s not running away from them nearly as much anymore. (Until they get super excited and super screechy. Then he’s done.)

On Friday I took baby boy on a daytrip through to Edinburgh to the Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest at Camera Obscura. What a fantastic place! We had a great day out and he really loved all the exhibits there. After a little wander we headed back home on the train and he slept the entire time. All the lights and buttons in Camera Obscura must have totally exhausted him.

It was my birthday at the weekend and one of my favourite things in the whole world in brunch. So we did brunch at the weekend. Twice. Once in Scran in Dennistoun where I had french toast with cheese and roast tomatoes which was easily one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. And the second one in Cafe Strange Brew in Shawlands, my favourite place to eat. Totally worth visiting both of them. Even if you’re not anywhere nearby! The little lady and I went to see the new Mary Poppins which was some lovely mummy daughter time.

All in all it was a really lovely week. Exciting and relaxing. A perfect mix!
