I’ve written about Calderglen Country Park before. You can find the review of the children’s zoo and the rest of the park here. This article is specifically about the brand sparkly new playpark there!

That old playpark was really rubbish. And quite terrifying. I only let her on it once because I nearly had a stroke in the brief time she was attempting to climb it.

Anyway, we’ve been along to the new playpark at Calderglen a few times since it opened. It islocated just behind the children’s zoo: the opposite end of the car park.

The new playpark is fantastic. The little lady LOVES it. They have all the regular stuff like slides and swings. There’s a couple of climbing frames – a little kiddie climbing zone with some slides, a bigger climbing area with a tall tunnel slide, a flying fox and see saws.

There’s tons to entertain the little kids. They have a couple of little trampolines that the little lady spent a lot of time on, jumping & singing. I think this was her favourite thing – the girl loves to jump.

There are lots of noise makers too: some chimes, some big shakers and a few other bits. I’ve never really seen these in a playpark before – they were great fun!

They have some spinny things and a couple of massive slides that the lady was not up for without being on daddy’s knee. Plus there’s a flying fox and a big 10 person rope swing that looked amazing fun. The little lady was a bit young for it, but I would’ve totally had a go had I not been so fecund!
