Park Lives is back until the 25th of July and there are a whole host of free activities on in various parks around Glasgow. There are lots activities for adults like yoga, powerwalking and parkfit but there are also a lot for families and kids too including family yoga, buggy fit, family karate and baby ballet.

We went to check out a baby ballet class on Saturday morning in Victoria Park.

It was an under 3’s class but I just brought both the kids along and they had a great time. They did a little bit of pointing toes and jumping in hoops and balancing beanbags on heads. They did some songs and some teddy bear cuddling. They did some row row row your boat.

The class teacher (Miss Lucy, I think) was lovely and great with the kids. The class was really busy and there were kids there ages 0-5, some of who couldn’t even move around yet, but she took it all in her stride and made sure everyone was involved.

My kids really enjoyed the Baby Ballet class. I’d highly recommend checking the class out and checking out the activity timetable to see if there are any other activities you fancy trying. Because during Park Lives they’re all completely free! (You do need to book in so make sure you do that online).

There are activities in Tollcross Park, Victoria Park, Bellahouston Park, Kelvingrove, Queen’s Park plus a bunch more. You can check out the activity timetable for Glasgow parks here.
