Bookbug Bags – Did You Get Yours?

Bookbug bags are gifted to every child in Scotland. They are completely free and full of books and bits for you to share with your child. The books we received in ours were great. They included those in the photo above, all of which are still some of the little lady’s favourites, and most of …

4 things children don’t need

This time of year can get a bit overwhelming with all the ‘to do’ lists and the ‘to buy’ lists. I saw this on a friend’s timeline today and it made me think about my lists. Sometimes it’s good just to get a bit of perspective…

A Little Christmas Treat For You!

I wanted to do something to say thank you to all of you lovely folks for your support since I started this little blog as a Facebook page a year or so ago. I also wanted to celebrate some of the amazing small businesses and wonderful places the little lady and I have had the …

Turtle Tots Toddler Swimming

It was certificate day at our lovely Turtle Tots swimming lessons yesterday. We’re big level 4 badgers now!

Toddler Train Travel Tips

I was feeling a bit nervous about our first long journey along with a tiny, noisy, fast moving human who has no sense of boundaries whatsoever. But honestly it went surprisingly well: we didn’t lose any of the (masses of) luggage we took with us, we didn’t lose a toddler, we had a nap on …

Bounce & Rhyme & Lunch

We went back to our old Monday haunt in the Mitchell Library this morning: Bounce & Rhyme. Great little group & there are loads all over Glasgow. (See here for a post I did a while ago about Bounce & Rhyme.) We had lunch in the Mitchell Cafe afterwards – they do yummy soups, sandwiches, …

Glasgow Science Centre Winter Opening

We went along to the science centre this morning, but it was closed because it’s now onto winter opening hours. Fail.

To combat the devastation we went for some soup & cake in The Steamie in Finnieston with our good friend Weesa. Win.

(Glasgow Science Centre winter opening: closed Monday & Tuesday, and open until 3pm Wednesday to Friday.)
