Victoria Park & Fossil Grove
Victoria Park is one of the prettiest parks in Glasgow. It has a lovely pond with lots of birds to see, a great playpark and Fossil Grove is quite magical for the little ones.
Ka Pao: First Class Food & Family Friendly
For anyone looking for an excellent dining experience in Glasgow’s West End that is also family friendly, Ka Pao is the one. I can’t stress enough how good the food is in here. And the kids always love their meal as well. An absolute gem of a place.
Jungle Rumble Mini Golf
We had a wee day just me and the boy recently, so we took the train into town and headed to check out Jungle Rumble on Bath St.
Bellahouston Park
Bellahouston Park is jammed full of art exhibits and sculptures. It’s a brilliant park and well worth a few hours exploration. The playpark at House for an Art Lover is great too. Absolutely one of our favourites in Glasgow.
Cloybank Farm
Cloybank Farm has some wonderfully friendly animals. They’re always waiting for the next bag of food to come along, especially the llamas and goats. It’s a great wee place to see farm animals up close.
Gleniffer Braes Country Park
Gleniffer Braes is a huge park with swathes of open space to explore. It’s so near the city, but it also feels like you’re miles away. With waterfalls, loads of walks, cattle and play areas it’s great day out!

National Museum of Rural Life
The National Museum of Rural Life is an excellent day out. It’s one of our favourite places to visit. There are lovely farm animals to see (and probably to give a wee pat to), lots to keep kids entertained in the museum, a little playpark, and a decent cafe as well. Summerlee Heritage Museum
Summerlee is big enough to spend a few hours playing and exploring, and has lots of things to do. Best of all the museum is completely free! The tram ride is a very exciting added extra.
Our Favourite Fun Swimming Pools Around Glasgow!
My kids don’t mind where we go for a swim as long as they can splash and jump in, but some pools are definitely better than others. So I thought I’d share our favourite “fun swimming” pools that my kids enjoy.
Mount Vernon Gruffalo Trail
A hidden gem in the east end. Gruffalo trail, wooden play areas including a train station and wee adventure play area.
Cuningar Loop
Cuningar Loop is a really pretty park, and will be even prettier as it continues to grow. The whole place is one big adventure, and there is tons to do. My kids adore it here. It’s well worth a visit!
Blair Drummond Safari Park
Blair Drummond Safari Park is one of our favourite places for a day out. There are tons of animals to see from big elephants to teeny tiny ants, boats to go on, loads of bits to play in, shows, talks, and definitely don’t forget the astroglide.
