Pollok Park is one of our favourite green spaces in the city. Go on a beautiful woodland walk, let the kids run around and burn off excess energy, find some magical fairy houses or dino bones and visit some fluffy cows. A great fun family day out.

A stunning, family friendly event. The best light show we’ve been to; certainly the most visually spectacular. Highly recommend. Outstanding, wonderful show!
Palacerigg Country Park: Family Fun & Woodland Adventures
Palacerigg Country Park is a great place for fun play areas and peaceful nature walks. It’s especially good for little kids but older kids will enjoy the play areas here too. It can get quite mucky if it’s been raining, but pack a picnic, bring your wellies, and enjoy everything this lovely country park has to offer.
Jurassic Parrr: Dino Themed Adventure Golf
If you love dinosaurs (or even just a bit of outdoor fun), Jurassic Parrr is worth a visit. It’s a fun combo of dinosaurs and golf, with a mini-golf course that’s enjoyable to play.
Sunday Strolls: Tillicoutry Glen
The Tillicoutry Glen loop is a lovely walk through a beautiful glen. With the babbling burn, waterfalls, the little rock scramble, the bridges and boardwalks and the views, it’s high on the list of favourites for us.
Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum
We love a little trip into Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum for a few hours. It’s a huge space for the little ones to play in and a great place to meet up with a bunch of buggies. If you manage to read and learn anything new, that’s always a bonus!
Robertson Park, Renfrew
Robertson Park is a great little park to spend a few hours. The playpark is varied, the skate park is good, there’s open space for running around. Plus there’s a cute wee pond with swans and ducks.
Moyra Janes Brasserie: Hearty Grub & the Best Hot Chocolates
This is a little local place that the kids absolutely love going to for lunch or a wee hot chocolate and cake. Moyra Janes is a welcoming wee haven tucked away in Pollokshields, serving up the best lentil soup around.
