Jurassic Kingdom in Glasgow Botanic Gardens

I was so looking forward to Jurassic Kingdom when I bought the tickets. From the advertising, it looked excellent. Dinosaurs that move and make noise and that could seem real to my little humans – what’s not to like? Well. Let me tell you. Before I begin, Jurassic Kingdom is a walk round event in …

Hartbeeps Babies

I’ve been taking baby boy along to Hartbeeps for a while now. Every week is a full on sensory experience for him; songs, bubbles, feathers, dress up… He loves it!

Kid Climbing at The Climbing Academy

We’d highly recommend The Climbing Academy for kids. It’s great fun. We’ll be back very soon, especially if this wet summer weather keeps up!

Brick City at New Lanark

The exhibition is underwhelming. Downstairs was fun but we could have stayed home and played with Lego at no cost. For what it is £16 family entry is steep.

Our Favourite Playparks in Glasgow

The little lady loves a good playpark. I’m a fan too – outdoors, free, energy burning – perfect activity! So I thought I’d share our favourite playparks in Glasgow (or pretty nearby).

Free Wheel North

We made the most of the dry weather yesterday & headed to Free Wheel North at Glasgow Green for a shot of the balance bikes…

Sand Pit Play in Condorrat

We went along to the indoor sand pit at Craigend Nursery & Coffee Shop in Condorrat last week. Great fun & lovely cafe!

Little Explorer Days at the Science Centre

The little lady is dinosaur daft. So we went to one of the Dino Dig Little Explorer Days in the Science Centre. The little lady had a fantastic time making and playing and exploring!

Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre

Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is rustic, and there’s plenty to keep the kids occupied. There’s space for the kids to run free and lots of animals to interact with; probably more of the latter than at other children’s farms we’ve been to. I’d definitely recommend it!

Prenatal Yoga at Yogabellies

I just finished up with my lovely Yogabellies class. Not only was it was the most relaxing part of my week, but it was quite nice to be in a room full of pregnant ladies who were all having similar experiences to me.

Gourock Outdoor Pool

We had some beautiful weather last month and tried to make the most of it. One of the little day trips we went on was to check out Gourock Outdoor Pool. Great for a lovely sunny day!

The new playpark at Calderglen

We’ve been along to the new playpark at Calderglen Country Park a few times since it opened. It’s great for younger and older kids, and the little lady LOVES it!

Greenbank Gardens

My lovely friend wrote this review of her recent visit to Greenbank Gardens with her toddler and baby. Sounds like a great day out!

Aquanatal Classes

I’ve been going along to aquanatal at Scotstoun Leisure Centre for a few months now. I really enjoy it: I get to meet people; I don’t need to do toddler bedtime; and of course it’s a little bit of exercise.

Day trip! The Edinburgh Fringe Festival

I have an admission: I have never before been through to the Edinburgh festival. I always meant to go, but just never got round to it. So even though we went to Edinburgh last weekend purely to see some kids shows it was still slightly exciting for me! Edinburgh was pretty busy (Edinburgh always feels …

Totnosh Toddler Cooking Classes

The little lady and I just finished a block of cooking classes with Totnosh in Barrhead. She loves helping in the kitchen anyway, but she had a great time trying out new foods and bossing me around as her helper. Great fun & lots of new ideas for toddler food!
