Cocoa Bean Tots Workshops

I took the little lady along to Cocoa Bean Braehead as a little treat a while back. I’d seen some advertising for their pre-schooler sessions, and knowing how much the little lady likes chocolate (which is almost as much as her mummy) I was pretty sure she’d enjoy it.

Linlithgow Palace

Linlithgow Palace is a really fun castle to explore. It is incredibly pretty with a really interesting history. The grounds are beautiful and the walk round the loch isn’t too long or strenuous for little legs. If you take a picnic, it’s a lovely place for a day trip.

Dollar Glen & Castle Campbell

Dollar Glen & Castle Campbell is a great day trip if you’re looking for something totally laid back and outdoors. There’s lots of natural things to examine on the walk up the Glen, and a beautiful castle to explore when you reach the the top!

Finlaystone Country Estate

Rustic, lovely and a tiny bit magical; Finlaystone is one of my favourite finds from last year. There’s so much to entertain kids. They can let their legs and imaginations run wild. And it’s a great place to bring the dog too.

Mini Manoeuvres Glasgow

DJ, bar, soft play, playdough, face painting, sandpit, Lego, balloons & good grub. Mini Manoeuvres is a truly excellent way to go clubbing. With your kids.

Dumfries House

Dumfries House is set in beautiful grounds. There are lots of bits to entertain kids and their Engineering Playpark (a water play area) is absolutely fantastic. We all had a blast!

5 things I’m most grateful for

The beginning of a New Year always makes me think about my life; where I am, where I am going and my plans for the future. It’s at times like this, thinking about the past year, where I feel incredibly grateful. Grateful about lots of things that have happened in my life and the people …

40 before 40

I thought I would write a (big) list that I can attempt to check off over the next 4 years, before I turn the big Four Zero…

Highs and Lows of 2017

I find it quite cathartic, looking back and reflecting on a whole year. I tend to forget lots of things that happen which can sometimes skew my view, and I think looking back really helps to put things in perspective. So here is my 2017!

St Enoch Centre Shopping Trip

I was asked to take part in a blogger challenge to find Christmas outfits for the kids from the shops in the St Enoch Centre. So baby boy and I took a wee shopping trip…

A Huge Shout Out to Briarlands Farm

I’d like to give a MASSIVE shout out to the truly lovely staff at Briarlands Farm in Stirlingshire. I haven’t ever written about the place before as this was our first visit. I will do when I get the chance.

Woodland Light Experience

We had a lovely evening at the Woodland Light Experience. It’s a really nice way to spend a chilly autumn evening with family, and the kids had a great time exploring the woodland (and on the bouncy castle).

Santa’s Woodland Experience

A friend went to visit the man in red at Santa’s Woodland Experience in Balfron last year. These are her thoughts. Spoiler alert: she loved it, and so did her entire family!

Jurassic Kingdom in Glasgow Botanic Gardens

I was so looking forward to Jurassic Kingdom when I bought the tickets. From the advertising, it looked excellent. Dinosaurs that move and make noise and that could seem real to my little humans – what’s not to like? Well. Let me tell you. Before I begin, Jurassic Kingdom is a walk round event in …

Bread Meats Bread

We’ve only ever been to Bread Meats Breads as a couple before; on those nights we’re out without children, living it up in the city… But I was having a look at the new Bread Meats Bread on Great Western Road and noticed that they have booths, much more space than the restaurant in town, …

Hartbeeps Babies

I’ve been taking baby boy along to Hartbeeps for a while now. Every week is a full on sensory experience for him; songs, bubbles, feathers, dress up… He loves it!
